Noëmi has been working at TailorMinds since October 2024. Tiffany put some questions to her to know more about Noëmi.
The background to her career
While studying Facility Management, technology was one part of it. This was mainly about installations and their maintenance. After graduating, I joined a management and consultancy agency as an account manager through a friend. This agency is in the south of the Netherlands and mainly focuses on customers in the petrochemical sector. My duties as account manager included recruiting, guiding and supporting candidates. This ranged from candidates with a background in Maintenance, Electrical, Mechanical Engineers to managers. Since October last year, I have been working at TailorMinds as a Consultant.
What motivates or inspires you in your work?
The people-oriented aspect of my work is not something that not only motivates and enthuses me, but also naturally suits me well. I enjoy having contact with people, preferably face to face. And finding out where I can support them in their career. What I really enjoy is talking to people and finding out where someone’s quality lies. Motivating someone’s qualities and offering tools in areas to develop is something I find pleasure in. This creates a different kind of connection with a candidate or potential colleague.
How do you see yourself within the team now and your future at TailorMinds?
For now, my focus is on getting to know the team further, developing more knowledge within the pharmaceutical industry and settling into my new workplace. In the future, I would like to use the knowledge I bring with me from my previous work experience within TailorMinds. In the future, I hope to supervise happy, successful and interesting projects and make the right matches between client and candidate and learn a lot from them myself. I think I can still transfer knowledge within the team in Electrical and Maintenance Engineering and perhaps instrumentation. And hopefully I will also learn about other disciplines that did not come up in the past at my previous employer.
