Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in the field of engineering, or similar.
  • At least 5 years of experience directly related to packaging materials.
  • Proven track record in the pharmaceutical industry or similarly regulated field.
  • Experience or the ambition to lead teams and develop team members.
  • Independent thinker with demonstrated skills working in teams or leading project teams;
  • Strong Interpersonal and communication skills.

Duties

Responsible for the introduction of new products and technologies to the packaging operations as well as being SMEs that ensure the continued smooth running of the lines. The engineers work on new product introductions and life cycle management.

What makes this role interesting, is the fact that you will work daily with the operating team as an advisor and also get to bring in longer term projects such as new products, new equipment and new improvements.

Key-responsibilities:
  • Management of new product introductions or transfers into the packaging line including characterization, functional testing, sample creation and RTE/CRT analysis.
  • Specifically for this role it will be working to transfer products to a partner manufacturing organisation based in abroad.
  • Working as part of the team that evaluates, recommends, and selects new packaging materials.
  • Assessing complex problems relating to process, equipment or materials and assist with recommending and implementing solutions.
  • Write test and characterization protocols, perform technical evaluations, and submit technical assessment reports.
  • Ensure all projects are managed within expected due dates, and provide read outs to senior management and the wider team.
  • Participants in Pre-Approval Inspections (PAI) and interact with regulatory bodies (e.g., FDA, EMEA, etc.) as needed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (i.e. Methods transfer, Engineering, Validation, QA, Supply Chain, Maintenance, Manufacturing, etc.).
