Yesterday we welcomed our our Turkish colleague T\u00fclin to the Netherlands. She will start next week as Validation Engineer at one of our relations. Fortunately, she does not have to feel alone: her partner is already in the Netherlands for some time.<\/p>\n
We got to know T\u00fclin through her partner. We had been in contact with him for some time about opportunities in the Dutch pharmaceutical industry. Only later did we discover that he has a relationship with a Process Engineer also in the pharmaceutical industry. Based on the positive discussions with them, the offer came about: should one of the two start on a TailorMinds project, we would offer the other one a contract as well.<\/p>\n
In September we were told that her partner could start on a project, starting in October. The contracts were ready which meant that we only had to arrange the formalities.<\/p>\n
In the process of moving to the Netherlands, there are many formalities to be completed. For T\u00fclin, most of them were already taken care of since we arranged things together with her partner. One formality brought something else faster than previously thought: getting married.<\/p>\n
Since both are with each other but were not yet married, it would mean that we had to apply for a separate visa for her. An application where we have to prove that the couple have a stable, long-term and unique relationship. This one is less concrete than a partner visa based on marriage. Since both were intent on sharing the future, they married in October.<\/p>\n
Since we have already helped her partner find a house, open a bank account and buy the furniture, those are some formalities that we don’t need to take care of much more. The other formalities such as a residence permit and municipal registration are now in the diaries. A quick start is thus possible in which we wish her good luck!<\/p>\n
