We usually announce the imminent arrival and start of a new colleague. This time, however, we\u2019re not talking about one but two new colleagues: Ruan and Alessandro. Next month, we\u2019ll be welcoming these colleagues from South Africa, who will both be starting as Engineering Maintenance Specialists at the same client.<\/p>\n
We received the vacancy for Engineering Specialist Maintenance from our client, who informed us that they had two positions available. The intention for this role was that candidates would initially start on day shifts, after which they would switch to a 3-shift and a 5-shift schedule. We had already spoken to Ruan and Alessandro, whom we proposed for this role, at an earlier stage. However, no agreement had been reached up to that point. The submission of the CVs quickly led to an invitation for an introductory interview. There appeared to be a good match both technically and personally. Both colleagues received technical training in South Africa and have also gained extensive experience in the industry. They are also accustomed to working in a shift-based system.<\/p>\n
It was important to our client that the candidates had a broad technical background. This was partly due to the complex pharmaceutical production environment in which they would be working and the various technical aspects they would encounter. Both Ruan and Alessandro have gained experience in South Africa in maintenance within the fields of mechanical and electrical engineering, pneumatics, and the calibration of equipment and utilities.<\/p>\n
Following positive feedback from both sides, the intention to collaborate was confirmed. This allowed us to proceed with the next steps. This involved drafting and discussing the contracts and gathering the documentation required to initiate the visa application. Applications have now been submitted for both colleagues, and the remaining formalities are scheduled to take place shortly. Both Ruan and Alessandro are expected to arrive in the Netherlands in early May. The biggest challenge will be finding suitable accommodation, which we are currently working on. We are confident that their move to the Netherlands will be a success. We look forward to seeing Ruan and Alessandro soon!<\/p>\n
