functie Vereisten

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in facility management, maintenance management, or engineering, preferably in the logistics or cold chain industry.
  • Proven track record of managing multi-site operations across different countries.
  • Strong understanding of refrigeration systems, HVAC, and other critical infrastructure in cold chain logistics.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead and coordinate complex projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in English; proficiency in Dutch, French, Italian, or other European languages is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel across Europe as required

Werkzaamheden

1. Facility Management:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive facility management strategies and policies.
  • Oversee the operations of all facilities in Europe, ensuring they meet regulatory and company standards.
  • Manage budgets and contracts related to facility operations, maintenance, and renovations, in close collaboration with local general management and/or maintenance managers.
  • Coordinate long term site facility plans and yearly plans with local managers to ensure consistency and efficiency across all sites. Follow-up on the execution of the site plans.

2. Maintenance Management:
  • Establish and maintain a suitable preventive maintenance program for all facilities and equipment.
  • Ensure timely and efficient maintenance of refrigeration systems, HVAC, and other critical infrastructure.
  • Monitor and analyse maintenance performance metrics and implement improvements.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for maintenance and repairs.

3. Engineering Practices:
  • Oversee engineering projects related to facility upgrades and expansions.
  • Standardize engineering practices across all locations, ensuring compliance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to improve facility design and operational efficiency.
  • Drive innovation in engineering solutions to support growth and sustainability goals.

4. Best Practices and Standardization:
  • Develop and disseminate standard operating procedures (SOPs) for facility and maintenance management.
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing and best practice adoption across all locations.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure adherence to standards and identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide training and support to facility and maintenance teams to enhance their skills and knowledge.
