Last six weeks, three fourth-year HRM students from Christelijke Hogeschool Ede (CHE) carried out an international project for their studies at and for TailorMinds. Nikki, Pauline and Frits presented their results last Friday, a retrospective of an interesting mission with clear added value.
Network
At TailorMinds, we constantly follow clients and candidates on LinkedIn. At the end of September, a message came along from a former classmate of Arjan’s daughter with the call: ‘International HR task wanted’. Through this network, contact was quickly made and an introductory meeting followed via Teams to find out whether the assignment would add value for both parties. This indeed proved to be the case and the choice was made to focus on a country where TailorMinds has previous experience and a new country for this assignment.
Co-working day
The assignment was basically remote. Because we value live contact above contact through a screen, we invited the students to the office for a co-working day. By participating in TailorMinds’ working environment, you experience both the recruitment approach and what is involved in the emigrations. After the cooperation day, Nikki, Pauline and Frits continued to work hard for a few weeks. Last Friday it was time for the presentation of the results.
Results
In a number of sub-areas such as housing conditions, living environment, culture and health, the students set up a comparison between a familiar country (India), a new country (Philippines) and the Netherlands. The outcomes in these areas were partly in line with experience gained earlier from emigrations from India. There were also new insights in particular on the big difference in the individualistic Dutch culture and the more collectivistic culture of India. In the near future, we will further discuss the advice report together within TailorMinds and determine what this means for our future plans for emigrations from both countries.
Professional advice
Nikki, Pauline and Frits: thanks again for your professional advice. The great added value for us besides this substantive advice is the quantity of information you managed to collect in a short time with the corresponding applications. Good luck with the completion of your final year of study. The labour market will be gaining driven professionals in the coming year.

For us, this was the first cooperation with Bachelor students. Should your studies require you to do a similar project, or an issue related to it. Feel free to get in touch, perhaps a fun and useful cooperation for both parties is on the horizon.
