We will soon be welcoming a new colleague who is a highly skilled migrant from abroad. This colleague will start as a System Owner Electrical at one of our clients. A more detailed explanation of the fast-track process.
First introduction
We received an application from a foreign candidate with a background in Electrical Engineering in response to a vacancy we had posted. Our interest was there and we quickly scheduled an online appointment for a personal introduction and exchange of information. This introduction was positive for both sides and it was agreed to look into possibilities for future collaboration.
Follow-up procedure
Our colleague lives abroad but not in his country of origin. He completed his master’s degree elsewhere and subsequently gained work experience in the industry. His ambition is to continue his career in Europe and he has a specific interest in The Netherlands. Relatively soon after the initial meeting, we received a vacancy that was well suited to his background and knowledge. Although he had no direct experience in the pharmaceutical industry, he did have the right knowledge in the field of electrical engineering. After introducing his CV to our client, interest was aroused and positive feedback followed. The first interview was then scheduled, which was also the only interview. During this interview, the extent to which his knowledge and experience matched the required profile was discussed. Both parties looked back very positively, and the feedback was that our client was keen to enter into a partnership.
IND procedure and formalities
We have now gained a lot of experience with IND procedures, some of which are very quick. In this case, too, we received a quick response to the visa application: approval was granted within a few working days. This meant that we could immediately move on to making an appointment at the embassy to collect the Provisional Residence Permit (MVV). This appointment has now been scheduled. On our side, we can continue planning the remaining formalities. The biggest challenge here is finding suitable accommodation. We will then plan the remaining formalities, including the arrival in the Netherlands. We are confident that this procedure will go smoothly and we look forward to a positive and successful collaboration!
