A process of three years with Mauritz

At the end of October, we expect to welcome a new colleague from South Africa: Mauritz. His process has been a long one, as we first met him in 2022 during our visit to Port Elizabeth. Here’s a look back at the process so far and a preview of what lies ahead.

First meeting in Port Elizabeth

In November 2022, we spent a week in Port Elizabeth, where we conducted a series of interviews with local technical specialists in the pharmaceutical industry. One of the applicants was Mauritz. During the interview, it quickly became clear what Mauritz has to offer in terms of knowledge, experience, and skills. His reason for interviewing with us was to potentially improve the quality of life for himself and his family.

The contact had been made and, as always, the next step was to find the right position with suitable opportunities. For a while, this was not the case for him, until early 2025.

The right profile

Through our network, we received a request to help their maintenance department recruit new colleagues in connection with expansion and future replacements in the team. A number of strict requirements were set. Based on these, Mauritz seemed to be a good fit on paper, so interviews were quickly arranged. Both parties were positive and took a realistic and responsible view of the prospects for permanent collaboration.

On-site meetings in the Netherlands

Based on this, Mauritz was also invited to have a few on-site meetings with the client. This gave both parties a better insight into his knowledge, skills, and experience, and was the ideal way for Mauritz to get a feel for his potential new environment. The visits were concluded positively, allowing us to get started with the process for him and his family.

Onboarding Netherlands

In the meantime, we have started arranging a smooth landing in the Netherlands. The permits have been submitted to the IND (Dutch immigration service), the search for suitable accommodation is underway, and the necessary paperwork is being prepared. We would like to thank Mauritz for the process so far and for their trust in this collaboration. See you soon in the Netherlands!
