Several airport visits in The Netherlands are also on the agenda in October. One of these visits is to welcome our new colleague Bryce. Beforehand, we went through a process with a long-term plan which is now in its final stages.
Introduction
We came in contact with Bryce through our company page on LinkedIn. As a new company follower, we inquired about his goals for the future him as his profile matched our projects within the pharmaceutical industry. After positive conversations, we came to the point that we could definitely add value to each other, but the timing was not ideal at that time. Nevertheless, we did start thinking about how to prepare for a future collaboration at that time.
Long-term plan
During the discussions it became clear that we would increase Bryce’s chances if he had more years of relevant experience combined with Dutch language development. Thus the idea arose to invest in the Dutch language through online language classes while he continued to gain work experience in South Africa. The goal is to bring Bryce to the Netherlands within two years with enough years of experience and Dutch at A2 level.
Project
We are now almost one year down the road and have gained a lot of language skills which have brought us to the point where we are both convinced that we can start in the Netherlands. The years of experience in the field of CQV in the pharmaceutical industry and the strong language development will be of value for our projects in The Netherlands. At this moment the contracts have been signed, the visa application has been submitted to the IND and we are busy finding a suitable project for him in The Netherlands for which several interviews are already underway.
