Some collaborations simply require more time. And sometimes that time proves exactly why it is worth the wait. At the beginning of 2026, we at TailorMinds will welcome Éduan as a Project Engineer! A recap and a preview.
Searching for the right match
Our first encounter with Éduan dates back to 2023. It quickly became clear that he has broad and versatile experience in project engineering in the pharmaceutical industry. His technical knowledge, combined with his pragmatic approach and engineering experience, made him an interesting professional for TailorMinds from the outset. However, finding the right match – both in terms of project and timing – proved to be no easy task.
After several interviews, in September 2025, we finally found the one opportunity that perfectly matched Éduan’s profile and ambitions. Not long after, an interview took place with one of our clients. It quickly became clear that this was the right candidate. After almost two years of waiting, there was ‘finally’ a concrete opportunity to take a new step in The Netherlands.
MVV record
The contracts were signed and almost immediately we submitted the application for the highly skilled migrant visa to the Dutch immigration service (IND). To our delight, we received approval within a week. This allowed Éduan to report to the Dutch consulate in Cape Town for his entry visa (MVV). Although the first available appointment seemed to be in February, Éduan managed to find an opening quickly and arrange everything the very next day. A great result, and for TailorMinds even a ‘record’ for the fastest MVV procedure to date: arranged within two weeks.
Preparations in the Netherlands
At the moment, the biggest challenge is finding suitable accommodation. Several viewings have been done and planned. We expect everything to fall into place around February, so that Éduan can start his Dutch adventure on a solid foundation.
