Requirements

Minimum education required for the position:

Education:
Bachelor degree preferably in one of the following disciplines: Mechanical engineering, Electrical engineering, Installation Technics or Process Engineering

Knowledge:
  • Pharmaceutical Utility Systems (like HPW, Pure steam, HVAC, gas systems)
  • Project management
  • Laboratory and Pharmaceutical (GMP) production environment
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements and industry guidelines specific for the pharmaceutical industry and maintenance & engineering (e.g. GMP, VCA, RCM, CE, NEN3140, etc).

Minimum experience required for the position:
2-4 years as Maintenance Engineer.

Duties

The medior Maintenance Engineer:

  • Responsible for the Asset strategy in full (including the associated processes for those assets).
  • Supports the Sr. in setting up and managing the Asset strategy in full including drawing up improvement proposals and roadmaps for their implementation.
  • Initiates and monitors improvement proposals for among others new techniques and methodologies.
  • Supports the EVM senior Asset Management engineer in establishing and maintaining the SAMP and relevant AMPs.
  • Supports the EVM senior Asset Management engineer in identifying customer requirements.
  • Determines how the Assets can best be monitored, what kind of alarms are needed for this, what the alarm limits are and how these alarms can best be presented.

  • Contributes from the AM role to the introduction of new assets and the development of major asset modifications.
  • Participates as SME and may lead development projects installing new systems or carrying out modifications on the existing systems to ensure correct implementation of the long-term strategy (with regard to AM and standardization) of their assets.
  • Ensures that new/modified Assets are manageable by the Asset Management organization by ensuring that projects properly go through the handover process.

  • Supports, if necessary, the maintenance technician with complex maintenance problems.
  • Is in the lead for preparation, execution and finalization of the maintenance shutdown period for the U&B systems concerned.
  • Carries out compliance investigations in case of an issue on an indirect/direct impact asset.
  • Contributes to root cause analysis for critical assets and for determining new CAPAs.

  • Executes CAPAs
  • Is SME in the area of Asset Maintenance Management.
  • Provides technical expertise as a maintenance management SME.
  • Reviews suppliers' annual maintenance plans regarding its technical implications.
  • Participates in/ Leads Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) sessions and sets up and manages the RCMs and Preventive Maintenance Plans (PMPs).
  • Advises the maintenance technician on spare part management and determines the target stock for new systems.
  • Advises the senior maintenance technician regarding the configuration data to be maintained for the various Assets.
  • Responsible for concluding and managing all supplier contracts involved.
  • Creates and optimizes the necessary technical documentation and operational procedures.
  • Develops, implements and monitors appropriate performance indicators to determine the current health of the Assets.
  • Handles / supervises the necessary (internal) audits.
  • Accountable for and provides training and guidance to less experienced staff and other stakeholders.

  • Participates with direct colleagues in the EVM 24/7 service in order to ensure the operational service and safety of critical systems and equipment.
