Mauritz has arrived (again)

In September, we announced the expected arrival of our new colleague Mauritz. We have now welcomed him to Schiphol Airport for the second time, after he spent a few days on location earlier this year. He has now started his new job in the maintenance department of one of our clients. Time for an update!

Documentation

When a new colleague from abroad starts working in the Netherlands, there are a number of crucial matters to consider. Of course, it starts with finding the right assignment for someone to begin with. This is followed by formalities that are not always efficiently organized in the country of origin.

For example, gathering the correct and formally legalized documentation can be a challenge. In Mauritz’s case, this involved apostilles for his marriage certificate and birth certificates. These are necessary to submit visa applications for his family. Fortunately, with the help of Expat Relocation & Immigration Services (link), the process was expedited and everything worked out in the end.

Onboarding

With Mauritz’s arrival, we were also able to get started with the formalities in the Netherlands. We prefer to take care of these before start date. The appointments for picking up his visa, opening a Dutch bank account, and our administration have now been scheduled and/or completed, leaving fewer loose ends at the start of his new job.

Good luck

There will be many more things to come in which TailorMinds will assist him and his family. After many months of interviews and preparation, Mauritz has now taken the big step. We thank him for his trust in TailorMinds, we look forward to working with him, and of course we wish him every success in his new challenge!
