Welcome and good luck Mesud

Last week, our new colleague Mesud arrived in the Netherlands and has now started on his new project. He is working as a Project Engineer for one of our clients. In his role, he will contribute to the delivery of engineering projects in the pharmaceutical industry.

Previous contact

Some time ago, we came into contact with Mesud through one of our colleagues who was already working in the Netherlands. They worked within the same organisation in Turkey and built up a strong friendship in addition to a working relationship. It didn’t take long before the first meeting was planned to see if we could be of service to each other. During this meeting, Mesud made a positive and enthusiastic impression and proved to have a suitable technical background within the pharmaceutical industry. In short, the right ingredients for a future collaboration.

Previous visit to the Netherlands

At the end of 2024, Mesud visited the Netherlands. He visited the TailorMinds office and we visited business relations for a more personal introduction. This gave both Mesud and our business relations a positive impression of each other and the intention was to explore the possibilities together. He also took the opportunity to get to know the Netherlands better and plan personal visits.

However, it took some time before the collaboration actually came about. A number of options came up in the past period, but the right match did not come up. In November, another interesting and suitable position came up that was a good fit for Mesud’s knowledge and experience. After a short application procedure, both parties agreed: this turned out to be the right match. Mesud was allowed to start!

Visa procedure and next steps

Once the contract had been signed and Mesud had submitted the necessary documents, we were able to start the IND procedure. Over the years, we have noticed that these procedures can vary considerably in terms of speed, but for Mesud, the application was approved in just a few days. The subsequent appointment at the consulate in Turkey for the entry visa could also be scheduled quickly. We were then able to plan the remaining formalities regarding the collection of the residence permit and registration with the municipality. These appointments are scheduled for this week.

Mesud initially came to the Netherlands alone, with his family to follow later this year. Together, they will build a new future here, and we are confident that this will be a success. We wish them every success and happiness!
