Duties
Under management of the Engineering manager, the Maintenance Engineer is responsible for executing the maintenance strategies and objectives to ensure enhanced reliability, safety, reduced operational costs and consistent quality of products. The maintenance engineer is responsible for troubleshooting, repair, and maintaining manufacturing equipment.
Under supervision and in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations, procedures and guidelines, this position:
- Implement robust processes for maintenance and reliability of manufacturing equipment.
- Develop skills in troubleshooting, repair, and maintaining manufacturing equipment, and be able to guide and train the technician about the same
- Responsible for eliminating significant quality issues due to equipment on shop-floor.
- Engages in execution of engineering maintenance program designed to ensure uninterrupted production consistent with established standards
- Manage spare parts inventory, ensuring that necessary components are readily available for repairs.
- Connect with equipment & tooling suppliers to deliver innovative solutions & designing, developing & analyzing all critical tooling used in the plant.
- Support (Planning, execution & reporting) for calibration & Preventive Maintenance without any deviation.
- Responsible for communicating business-related issues or opportunities to the next management level
- Responsible for following all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices as applicable.
- For those who supervise or manage a staff, responsible for ensuring that subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition, if applicable
- Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures
- Performs other duties assigned as needed
