Requirements

Qualifications
  • Candidate should have a doctorate degree OR Master’s degree & 3 years of directly related experience OR Bachelor’s degree & 5 years of working in packaging development within a pharmaceutical/medical device company.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills together with demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
  • Proven track record of contributing to cross-functional projects.
  • Strong teamwork, excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience with packaging development and the associated manufacturing process.
  • Experience of working with packaging suppliers.
  • Ability to work in a highly regulated and ever-changing industry.

Duties

Key responsibilities will include leading the packaging development process for products at ABR/ADL. Additional responsibilities will include the provision of technical operations support for the continuous improvement of packaging components and advisory of technical improvement projects. The Sr. Engineer must ensure effective communication throughout the Amgen commercial site network with all stakeholders and deliver on technical improvements.
Technical Support
Act as the site subject matter expert for packaging components at ABR/ADL. Technical support for new materials and packaging processes. The candidate is expected to use material science, technical process knowledge and identify the required expertise to resolve process challenges as needed.
Operational Excellence
Responsible for supporting the delivery of productivity, throughput, and general capacity improvements across the Amgen sites by analyzing, designing, and implementing packaging components improvements.
Relationships
The Sr. Engineer is expected to build a network of FDP expertise across the Amgen commercial and clinical operations for packaging design, verification, and implementation. The position is expected to leverage this network in support of the design of packaging components, new product introductions, verification testing and troubleshooting/process improvements.
