Onboarding for Kyle

Last week was finally the start for our South African colleague Kyle: he started working as a Validation & Compliance Engineer at one of our relations. Like the other expats, there are still some formalities to be arranged. But the puzzle pieces are starting to fall into place.

Partner and dogs

For example, Kyle came alone to The Netherlands for the time being. This is on a temporary basis, as the plan is for his partner and the dogs to come at a later date. At the moment the last papers are being arranged in South Africa. Dogs are often an extra challenge for expats because this is not always desired by landlords when looking for houses. Nevertheless, we do not shy away from the challenge and several viewings are on the agenda while Kyle is currently staying in a short stay.

The formalities

In the meantime, the formalities in The Netherlands continue as usual. Yesterday we picked up the residence permit, this morning we went to the municipality for a registration number (BSN), which means that banking and health insurance can follow quickly. Of course the informal matters are also important: the first real Dutch stroopwafel!

Good luck with the project

We wish Kyle every success with his work! The first training courses have already been completed so that Kyle can work within the standards and quality requirements of the client. The first validation protocols and meetings will follow soon. During his employment at TailorMinds we will guide him where necessary until he eventually makes the switch to our relation.
