Last month we welcomed our colleague from Pakistan to the Netherlands: Sana. She started working as a Project Engineer HVAC at one of our relations in the pharmaceutical industry. Here the relation did the recruitment themselves and asked us for the onboarding and guidance of the process.
Onboarding service
Most of the routes for colleagues we contract from abroad come from our own recruitment. Based on this, we have developed a comprehensive and tailored onboarding procedure for expats. The basic principle here is that the expat can always count on the support of TailorMinds during the process. Think of visa application, housing and a warm welcome at the airport.
Because we are not the only ones recruiting abroad, we also receive requests from our clients to take care of the onboarding and guidance for them. Not all clients have the time, knowledge and/or capacity to take on these processes. Such was the case for the hire of Sana.
Ongoing process
We got to know Sana as a result of a positive message from our relationship that she was selected for an HVAC project asking: would you handle the process for her? Of course!
Soon followed the first introduction online where we went through the steps to be taken together. Together we mapped out the route and various processes were set in motion such as applying for her visa and finding suitable housing. Normally housing is one of the biggest challenges because of the tight housing market. Through a reliable and warm network we managed to find an apartment well before the start date. This meant that the following formalities such as registration with the municipality and opening a Dutch bank account could also be planned right away.
Through a smooth process, Sana started quickly without too many open ends.
