functie Vereisten
Minimum of 20 years of experience in cost estimating within EPC projectsStrong background in CAPEX and OPEX estimating
Experience with international EPC contractors
Experience across full project lifecycle, including Feasibility, FEED, PMC, OBE, and EPC (LSTK) proposals
Strong understanding of project controls, including planning, cost control, and change management
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
Proven experience across all estimate phases, including:
ROM (Rough Order of Magnitude)
Budget estimates (AACE Class V-III)
Definitive / As-sold estimates (AACE Class II-I)
Other Requirements
Experience in a highly regulated environment (e.g., nuclear, infrastructure, or industrial projects).
The reactor is being built in Petten, so travel to Petten will be required. The main office location is Alkmaar.
Security screening applies; additional checks may be required in certain cases.
Fluency in English (required); Dutch language skills are an advantage.

Werkzaamheden
In this role, the candidate will act as Cost Estimating Lead for a reactor project and will be responsible for delivering cost estimating expertise across multiple project phases and supporting the development and validation of CAPEX estimates.The role involves close collaboration with internal stakeholders and external estimating teams to ensure alignment, accuracy, and continuous improvement of estimating processes.
Key Responsibilities
Review BL09 CAPEX and identify optimization opportunities in collaboration with the estimating team Provide estimate assurance for Contract Batches 0/1/2, including recommendations and lessons learned for future contract awards Support the development and implementation of a robust cost estimating procedure Provide ad-hoc estimating support to the Project Controls team Align with stakeholders to ensure consistent and reliable estimating methodologies Contribute to continuous improvement of estimating processes and tools
