Simbarashe is ready to go

Last week we welcomed our Zimbabwean colleague Simbarashe to the Netherlands. He will start 1 September as Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer at one of our relations in the pharmaceutical industry.

Smooth process

For Simbarashe, the process to the Netherlands was quite smooth. We met Simbarashe in April and in June we were told that he could start on a project in Leiden. This was faster than expected for him but he was definitely ready for it. The process with the IND was started and the preparations to come to the Netherlands were made. The embassy in Harare soon had places available to provide the birth certificates with apostilles and for an MVV appointment.

Through Expat Property Brokers, we had suitable housing for the family in early August. Based on this, Expat Relocation & Immigration Services was able to help find a school for his two children. The great thing about this was that the distance to work is more than acceptable and the school for the children offers extra guidance for children who have not yet mastered the Dutch language.

The last bits

Upon arrival in the Netherlands, most of the formalities had been arranged or were already planned. The appointments with the municipality and the bank have been made. The residence permits are also ready to be picked up. With this we contribute to a head with less worries so Simbarashe can better focus on his work. We wish him all the best with this!
