Thick root

Thick root meeting

Yesterday, we reviewed with the commercial team in the office the strategy we came up with for the 20s-25s and assessed it with the current situation. Time for a recap.

Thick Tree versus Thick Root

In past years, our quarterly meeting was nicknamed “Thick Tree”. Under a thick tree, you can enjoy the shade. You can look back at what happened in the past period. You can also look ahead to a new period. With the growth of TailorMinds, although consultations were very democratic, the agenda became too full and therefore not always efficient. Therefore, last year we thought of looking at the market, our clients and strategy once every six months with the commercial team to evaluate the operation once every six months with the whole team. Yesterday was our first “Thick root”. Since a root gives the tree strength and grip, this is a great image to see business model and strategy as the root for the company.

Heading 20 – 25

At the end of 2019, after a strategy meeting we set the course for at that time the next five years, we concluded that we did not have our “Why” clear. With plans in place at the time, we arrived at the TailorMinds name with a name change, trademark registration and new website with a more distinct story. At the beginning of 2023, we are halfway through and our conclusion is that the big picture fits well with what the market demands. We did this by means of an extensive SWOT and a confrontation matrix in which you compare the internal strengths and weaknesses with the external opportunities and threats.

Substrategies

Based on the outcomes, we defined partial strategies that we will use in the coming year. We concluded the day with a feedback round and a joint objective for the next six months. We are very much looking forward to being able to make a difference to our relations and (new) colleagues again next year.
