At a time when regulations and related working conditions are constantly changing, we at TailorMinds are busy implementing them. We reported to you about this earlier in January. Time for an update on the new permit system.
The new permit system
It was recently announced by the Minister that the new licensing regime will actually take effect on January 1, 2027. As this proceeds, we are happy to see that we have started all the necessary preparations on time. This is evidenced, among other things, by the voluntary audit for the TTA Act recently conducted at our office. Especially through the support of the NBBU, which has supported its members with many tools and knowledge moments in the past two years, this has succeeded.
Practical test
Despite the support and all the preparations, there were still some comments during the audit. Good to know that you then organized a voluntary preparatory audit. A critical note here is that part of the established framework of standards that will apply is still subject to change.
On the one hand this is because not every conceived new standard can be objectively established during an audit. On the other hand, we see that the auditing body also has the necessary difficulty in determining this properly. The practical test was concluded with the compliment that we are well on the way. Now you may be thinking: are you satisfied with that?
Equal remuneration, a challenging exercise.
The answer is: definitely not. We will continue until it is ready and processed. By far the biggest challenge is in finalizing the implementation of equal remuneration. Here, we have encountered several challenges in getting the equivalence information that can be obtained using the SETU standard. We mention a few:
- If you have a proprietary scheme and you have organized everything according to your own structure, it still proves to be a chore to reproduce this in a processable standard as well.
- If you have a small agile organization with, say, three functions, it all seems orderly, but then it turned out that all the information within the company is in different places.
- If you are a part of a multinational corporation and everything is bilingual in sometimes dozens of attachments, processing does give you the idea of a jigsaw puzzle of size.
Finally, we see that proof of classification and interpretation of the pension plan creates challenges. All in all, a challenging exercise.
Light at the end of the tunnel
Fortunately, the end is in sight. We now have all but a few points of data in view that allow us to send out the confirmations and inform our colleagues. You could say that we are well on our way in terms of finishing (for the builders among us).
