Owen intern at TailorMinds
An intern, Owen, has started at TailorMinds this week. Here’s a brief introduction and some details about his upcoming placement.
Introducing Owen
‘’My name is Owen, I live in Pijnacker and I’m 18 years old. I’m studying at ROC Mondriaan in Leidschenveen, where I’m following the Junior Account Manager course. I’m currently in my final year of this course. TailorMinds is giving me the opportunity to do my work placement. I’m glad I found TailorMinds, and my first impression is that it’s an enthusiastic company where I can learn a great deal. My aim at TailorMinds is to learn more about the role of an account manager. In my spare time, I enjoy tinkering with my scooter and riding it around.”
Purpose of the internship
During his work placement at TailorMinds, Owen will be involved in all operational processes within the organisation, from recruiting and selecting candidates right through to the successful placement of a candidate or the completion of a project? We will walk him through these processes step by step. In addition, Owen has two assignments to work on as part of his course. Firstly, he will draw up an account plan and then he will work on a sales process. The aim is for Owen to have gained a clear understanding of these processes and to have documented them thoroughly by the end of his work placement. Ultimately, he will present both assignments to TailorMinds and his work placement coordinator at school. We wish him every success and hope he enjoys both learning and working!
Accredited training organisation
TailorMinds has been an accredited training organisation for a number of years. As such, we regularly receive requests from students to offer them an internship. Depending on our needs and capacity to provide supervision, the student’s field of study and the focus of the internship assignment, we determine whether we can accommodate these requests. Initially, we arrange an introductory meeting at the office to get to know each other better and to discuss the course and the placement. If there is sufficient common ground on both sides, we discuss the details of the collaboration. This covers the placement assignment, the duration of the placement and the support provided by the organisation. Naturally, the placement coordinator from the relevant institution is involved in this process.
