We look back at 2024, a year that is almost over. No growth and yet a stable result. In many situations, no growth is a nightmare for companies, especially when the market is shrinking. To be fair, it is easier when the line is up. Still, we look back on a great year with a stable result. Time for a review of this year by Arjan!
Over ten years of expertise as a recognised sponsor
In 2014, we were able to take care of our first emigration of an engineer who was not from Europe. Many more followed in the following years, and in 2025 we expect to be able to take care of the 100th emigration. Over the past ten years of being a recognised sponsor for the IND, we have developed a considerable amount of knowledge. We gladly put this knowledge into practice for our relations when bringing talented engineers to the Netherlands. For our new colleagues, we ensure the smoothest possible landing. Our motto ‘do what is necessary’ always results in tailor-made solutions. We are also approached by clients because they experience differences in service from other companies. Good onboarding and guidance are crucial in the first months for the new colleague. This translates into job satisfaction, but also in the speed with which the colleague integrates here.
Back again: Knowledge network event
In the years before the pandemic, we organised a knowledge network event for and by our colleagues. This year, we were able to pick up the thread by organising workshops on up-to-date knowledge topics. We reported extensively on this event in November. Due to positive experience, we will definitely organise a similar event again in 2025.
Ready for 2025
This year, more pieces of the puzzle fell into place in the internal organisation. The shared responsibilities within TailorMinds still sometimes show overlap. After completing the process improvements initiated in 2023, there is a good overview and we are more effective in processing payroll and invoicing. There is also much on paper.
With increased demand from related market segments such as Chemicals and the world of Energy, we look forward to 2025 with confidence. The operations team is well placed to handle the new capacity requirements and provide good advice to potential clients.
