Farewell to Mirjam

Last Friday, we said goodbye to our valued colleague Mirjam after she had worked at TailorMinds for almost five years. She is now set to enjoy her retirement – a look back.

Proven added value

Almost five years ago, we were growing rapidly and needed to strengthen our internal team. Mirjam came to our attention through our network. She had gained experience as the ‘spider in the web’ at an engineering firm. In the period that followed, it became clear just how valuable her experience and knowledge were; Mirjam proved to be capable of contributing in more areas than her role as Management Assistant initially required. You might say that this is part and parcel of such a role, but it is by no means a given that it works out that way. There are many positive aspects to highlight; we’ll single out one that is also of great importance in her successor’s role.

Apart from the value she brought as a colleague, she was above all a genuinely helpful person who was always there for everyone, consistently showed interest in others, and was someone we could rely on and confidently discuss important matters with. Through her calm nature and strong sense of involvement, she connected people and brought things together within TailorMinds. In short, she was a wonderful colleague whom we will certainly miss.

RA&E discussions

At the start of a project and after the completion of a year, we hold discussions with our colleagues about a safe workplace, working environment and atmosphere. At TailorMinds, we have a number of female engineers. We have noticed that it is no luxury at all for these discussions to take place between women, as more is discussed in a ‘safe’ setting. The role and responsibility that Mirjam took on in this regard were widely appreciated by both our colleagues and business contacts.

Looking again

On Friday, we thanked Mirjam for her dedication, expertise, and commitment with a fully arranged weekend getaway to a place that is both familiar and special to her and her partner. Retirement now gives Mirjam the opportunity to enjoy unlimited Disney stories, piano lessons, and improving her French language skills. We wish her all the best!

At the same time, we are once again looking for a great colleague to take over this role. With Corrie’s retirement also approaching, we are additionally seeking administrative support to strengthen the team.

Would you like to join the TailorMinds team as a Management Assistant?

Partly based on the added value we’ve experienced; we’ve expanded the job profile to include the main responsibilities. These are intended as a guide and are certainly not set in stone. Please get in touch with Sander Pupella or Arjan van Dijk if you’d like to find out more or apply via the link on the website.
