Last week, we at TailorMinds went through the full NEN 4400 audit. The audit was carried out by auditors from Normec VRO. We are proud to report that we have once again passed this audit without any remarks. This standard is a sign of reliability for our business relations and employees.
Reliable process
TailorMinds has continuously met the standards of NEN 4400 from the start, resulting in this certificate. What exactly does reliability mean?
During an audit, our financial and payroll administration is screened. They also check for unjustified net payments. They check whether, when our colleagues work for a client that is subject to a collective labour agreement, TailorMinds follows the client’s regulations regarding working conditions. This includes overtime regulations or other rewards.
Finally, all files are checked on the basis of an extensive random sample for the presence of valid identity documents, signed employment contracts and, if applicable, the presence of work permits.
Successfully completing the audit is proof of a reliable process.

TailorMinds also works with self-employed people on its projects. In light of the announced stricter government inspections and the extensive media coverage of this, we looked at this audit with extra interest. This was because we were curious to see whether the files of self-employed people would pass the audit without comments. Here too, it appeared that the formalities behind the project commitment were well organised from an administrative point of view.
Reliable company
The news media regularly cast employers and secondment agencies in a negative light. This is almost always due to malafide companies in our sector. They do not have the NEN4400 quality mark or are not members of the NBBU or ABU. If the government were to speed things up a bit, it is to be expected that the permit system that is on the horizon will make a big difference in the labour market. This permit, which is largely based on the current normative framework, will become an obligation, otherwise you will no longer be allowed to operate. This increases the chance that not only the process but also reliable companies in our market will become more visible.
