Earlier this year we reported that we were expecting a new colleague from Turkey. Last week we welcomed him at Schiphol Airport. A warm welcome to Hüseyin and a new adventure at TailorMinds.
Moving to the Netherlands
During the past weeks we have been in frequent contact about the move to the Netherlands. The priorities were obtaining a valid residence permit in the Netherlands and suitable housing.
The application for the right of residence went smoothly. Because to years of experience with highly skilled migrants, we are more often and better able to deliver complete files to the IND which makes a ‘first time right’ case every time. This was also the case with Hüseyin. This was followed by an appointment at the Dutch consulate in Istanbul where his entry visa (MVV) was ready.
The next challenge was in finding suitable housing. Here we have seen in recent years that the market is more competitive so the availability of housing is not always equal to expectations. Within the network of TailorMinds we are in close contact with various intermediaries which eventually led to a suitable accommodation for Hüseyin. With this, at least the ticket to the Netherlands could be booked.
Formalities
Once in the Netherlands, the next formalities were already on the agenda. Collecting his residence permit, personnel administration at the office, collecting his house keys and opening a Dutch bank account. Going through these processes together made the onboarding in the Netherlands smoother and more often error-free, reducing the stress of building a new life.
Suitable project
Meanwhile, the formalities are proceeding as planned. The final step is to find suitable project for Hüseyin. A number of interviews have been and/or scheduled for this purpose. For the new year, we are hopeful that he can make his contribution in the field of project engineering, validation projects and DSP projects.
