In recent months, we have welcomed first Alexey, and then his family in the Netherlands. A special journey. Alexey started as Product Manager at one of our relations. A retrospect on a journey through Armenia and Turkey.
Tailor-made work with the IND
We first spoke to Alexey in the last quarter of the previous year. He wanted to come and live and work in the Netherlands. One of our relations was interested in working with him but had no possibility to arrange the process. From then on, it became a tailor-made process like we had not experienced before.
Alexey worked from Armenia because of the war in Ukraine while his family stayed elsewhere. As a result, we had two locations to collect the entry permit (also called MVV) in one procedure. Something we have not had to deal with before. Thanks to a good teamwork of the right information and active follow-up, all the documents that were needed were collected quickly, allowing the procedure to proceed smoothly. As a result of that we got the green light for entry in early January. Since Dutch consulate in Armenia does not issue MVV, Alexey had to travel to yet another country to collect this. After a few minor bumps at the consulate in Instanbul that we could solve together keeping further stress away, he was able to be on his way to the Netherlands.
Preparations and temporary accommodation
We were able to welcome him to our company at the end of January. Alexey is not only Product Manager, but it soon turned out that project management also suits him well. Namely that of his own onboarding into the Dutch system. Municipal registration, picking up his visa and completing all the necessary forms for proper payroll processing followed at a brisk pace. Alexey was able to temporarily stay with family and in the meantime started looking for a house, which he also managed to find in time. A few weeks ago, the other family members also arrived. After being separated for almost six months, they were together again.
