In the past few days, TailorMinds’ Consultants paid a short visit to the colleagues on location to give the end-of-year gifts. “On location” differed per colleague as for many of us working from home is the new standard.
A different year
Every year we invite all TailorMinds colleagues plus partner for a cozy dinner to end the year. Because they are colleagues of each other but usually do not work at the same project or location, a solid meeting provides all kinds of new connections. It is also a great opportunity for TailorMinds to show our appreciation for their efforts. Particularly in this special year, in which, despite a major setback in the second quarter, we achieved a record high of ongoing projects in October, partly due to the new increase in colleagues.
Joint dinner at a distance
Unfortunately, like many other things, the end-of-year dinner cannot escape COVID-19. You can suggest with a wink that the reason we have grown in amount of colleagues is that it is now less responsible to meet. However, we are not put off by the situation and that is why we organize a COVID-19-proof end-of-year dinner in an alternative way. The colleagues found in the envelope a personal TailorMinds check which they can use to order a delicious meal or, when restaurants are allowed to reopen, to eat out. What we receive in return is a photo of them and any company enjoying the meals. A collage is made of all the photos received and we send a copy of this back to the colleagues. In this way there is still a way to bring colleagues together in a responsible way.
Review and preview
2021 will also be the year of our 10th anniversary for TailorMinds. Whether and how we can celebrate that live is unclear at the moment. We will of course keep you informed if anything is possible. It is precisely because of this that we look back with pleasure on July 10 of this year, where we could come together responsibly around the name change. 2020 is almost behind us, which was a strange year. We wish everyone a healthy 2021 with great emphasis.
