Last Tuesday we picked up our upcoming South African colleague Michael from Schiphol. This is because he will start as a Senior Validation Consultant at one of our relations on 1 June. TailorMinds also guides him through the entire onboarding process, a number of steps which will be arranged shortly.
Temporary accommodation
Since Michael will be doing various projects as a Senior Validation Consultant, it was still uncertain in advance which residential location would suit the most. Also because his first project has been agreed for several months with a possible extension. A temporary stay for Michael has been arranged in order to respond to the situations as best as possible. The advantage of this is that it is arranged quickly, is flexible in terms of rent and that he can also register here. At a later stage when there is more clarity about his future, we will start looking at a permanent residence.
Extra passenger
As always, we welcome our foreign colleagues at the airport and then accompany them to their stay. By coincidence, Wayne, a former colleague of Michael and a well-known candidate at TailorMinds, also came to The Netherlands on the same plane. Of course we also offered him a lift to his destination. We also wish him good luck in The Netherlands!
The last bits
Looking at the entire process, we have arrived at the final formalities for Michael. For example, he is currently in self-quarantine, the corona test has been scheduled, the residence permit is ready to be collected and registration with the municipality can largely be arranged online.
