TailorMinds has enjoyed working with Thomas International for a number of years, not only because they are a nice group of people, but mainly because of the assessments they provide, which we use in recruiting or coaching our colleagues.

Meet up

This week Arjan had an interesting progress meeting with a colleague. One of the topics on the agenda was to discuss the outcomes of an assessment that measures emotional intelligence.

Emotional Intelligence

This assessment increases the understanding of your own emotions and how you deal with them in mutual relationships. Three examples of measured components are: Emotion Expression (the extent to which you show emotions to others), Stress Management (how you deal with pressure and stress and the extent to which this is successful) and Social Awareness (the extent to which you estimate a situation and then adapt to it).

The outcome not only measures, but beautifully shows how you can become even more empowered on a good day by recognizing a situation. On a bad day you can see a potentially unpleasant situation coming much sooner, so that you are more aware in such a situation.
