At the end of May we expect to welcome another South African colleague in The Netherlands: Kyle. Kyle will work as a Validation & Compliance Engineer at one of our relations. Because Kyle has a South African nationality, we have also started applying for a residence and work permit at the IND (Dutch immigration service) for him.
First contacts with Kyle
Kyle has been in contact with TailorMinds for some time now. Given his relevant work experience in validation in the pharmaceutical industry, we sketched a realistic picture through an initial introductory meeting. Matters such as financial expectations, the process at the IND and potential clients were discussed at the time. After that, we had to wait for the right opportunity at the perfect time to make the right match.
The right opportunity at the perfect time
At the beginning of this year, one of our relations had urgent request to expand their cleaning validation team. Knowing that this knowledge and experience is not always available on a silver platter in The Netherlands, we discussed Kyle with the relation. This is because he is experienced in this specific skill. The hesitation at that time was the availability given the entire procedure at the IND.
Along with our relation, time has been put in to speak to Kyle given the relevant experience. This was a positive meeting which eventually led to an approval of the relationship to let him start! June is in the calendar as the start month.
The process
A number of steps have already been taken and we are awaiting approval from the IND for his application as a highly skilled migrant. Once approved, the MVV can be picked up. In the meantime, we are regularly in contact with Kyle to help him with formalities such as housing, planning and relevant documentation. Upon arrival in The Netherlands, we are of course ready at the airport to give him a warm and responsible welcome.
