As of September 1, we have another South African colleague with us: Madelein! In recent weeks her process has accelerated with positive results. In the meantime, the first steps of the process to come to the Netherlands have started.

The past months we have been in close contact with Madelein to look for a suitable position within validation in the pharmaceutical industry. We came in contact with her last year March after a positive reference from one of our own colleagues. After a constructive first conversation, it turned out that the timing was not fully appropriate at that time and we agreed to meet again later that year.
And so it happened. Around December, the contact was continued with a green light to look at possibilities. Several options were explored and it was just a matter of waiting for the right match.
Choice between parties
In April, this process accelerated when two parties expressed their interest in her knowledge, skills and personality. This led to a luxury problem for Madelein. After thorough discussions with both parties, Madelein came to a decision. Last week the contracts were signed and this week the visa applications were submitted to the IND.
We expect Madelein to be in the Netherlands in August to have completed most of the formalities prior to her work. For now we are still at the beginning of the process in which an approval of the IND will be the most important. After that the rest will follow such as finding a suitable home, picking her up at the airport, municipal registration and etc..
