Good news for South African engineer Nico: he can start as an Improvement Engineer at one of our relations on 1 June. The processes for him and his family have started.
Recommendation
We got to know Nico through a recommendation from one of our own engineers. They follow the same Dutch language course and working in the Netherlands was discussed. Nico had been planning to come to Europe for some time as this was a dream for him and his wife. The Netherlands is a suitable option in this regard, since the Afrikaans language is largely in line with Dutch. An appointment was soon made for an introductory meeting.
Immediately a hit
The introductory meeting revealed that Nico has broad experience in the field of industrial automation and improvement of processes. The link with one of our relations was immediately established. This link also saw the relationship leading to a number of interviews. Nico was able to convey his knowledge, skills and personality in a targeted manner, whereby the client was convinced of his added value within their team. The only question was which department he will be working in: industrial automation or improvement projects? After consultation, the improvement projects department came forward.
Immigration procedure
We have now taken important steps regarding visa applications for him and his family. The IND managed to set a new record for us by processing the application in four working days. This with positive result: an approval for the visa! This means that the appointments could be booked at the consulate in Cape Town to arrange their MVV. The next steps are aimed at the flight to the Netherlands, the search for a house and the formalities in the Netherlands.
