This week, TailorMinds started an immigration procedure for a South African employee. He starts this year at one of our clients: Konrad.
The added value of a long-term contact
In February 2020 TailorMinds spoke to Konrad for the first time for an orientation. Konrad is a PLC / SCADA Engineer who wanted to emigrate to The Netherlands with his family. Soon after the orientation, an introduction followed at one of our relations and Konrad was also allowed to attend an introductory meeting. After a positive conversation with our relation, the application procedure was unfortunately not yet continued. This had nothing to do with his skills. This was due to the international lockdowns and the uncertainty as a result of which demand in the market decreased. TailorMinds has been in contact with Konrad online every two weeks during that time for an update.
Resumption of conversations
At the beginning of 2021, it was finally possible to resume the application procedure. After the thread was picked up again, after a few conversations there was still mutual interest. Soon after, a contract meeting followed with a positive outcome. Konrad can start as a Software Engineer Services.
Relocation to The Netherlands
Currently TailorMinds has started an immigration procedure with Konrad and his family. After completion of this process, the goal is to have the entire family fly over by the end of March 2021 in accordance with corona measures. This so that he starts at our client after quarantine and a period of getting used to. TailorMinds keeps a close eye on the international situation. TailorMinds will also continue to advise and guide Konrad in this process, so that we can eventually collect the family from the airport.
