Last Friday it was very busy at the TailorMinds office. This because together with our partner Annonu we organized a tax session for both our Dutch and our international colleagues. A small recap.
Live is better than via a screen
For the past two years, the tax afternoon has only been organized individually. That is because our colleagues got help online to do tax returns through Nordin from Annonu. Since this is better in a 1-on-1 meeting than online, we wanted to invite our colleagues to the office for lunch. Fresh sandwiches from the local butcher were on the menu for lunch. It was a pleasant crowd where there was opportunity to catch up with many colleagues. After lunch, colleagues were able to meet privately with Nordin to prepare the return and discuss what needs to be supplied. Some colleagues already had a completed version which they went through together.
First declaration
When you emigrate to the Netherlands there is a lot to deal with. After completing a calendar year there is also the first tax return that needs to be filed. Because we at TailorMinds strive to complete the circle, this also includes the first tax return for the new colleague.
Private session
Except for the pay slips and the annual statement, this is a process we only facilitate, the filling out and the results are private. Precisely for that reason, it is nice to know that our colleagues can use Nordin’s expert advice to arrive at a correct tax return.
