Update international recruitment

In January we welcomed another international in The Netherlands in accordance with the measures. For us this meant the 22nd country that we could tick on the world map. On January 20, the Dutch government announced new measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19. We would like to share a number of points related to recruitment of internationals.

Measures

There will be a temporary travel ban from the United Kingdom, South Africa and the continent South America from 23rd of January. This ban will be in effect from this Saturday until there is a mandatory quarantine measure. This means that there will be a quarantine obligation of 10 days for travelers entering The Netherlands. The law has to be amended and that will take a few weeks. Until then, the travel ban applies.

Travelers from other countries already had to submit a negative PCR test. There is now the obligation to take a rapid test as well.

Consequences for international recruitment

The consequences are that the pending procedures for candidates from the aforementioned countries will be put on hold for the time being. Incidentally, this does not mean that we will not continue with the application procedures of internationals. TailorMinds also likes to speak to candidates for the long term.

Self-quarantine upon arrival in The Netherlands was already the standard for TailorMinds to avoid risks. This means that when proposing candidates, we not only include the IND procedure and notice period in availability, but also the 10 days of self-quarantine.
