Start Danie

Welcome Danie, ‘n bietjie geduld

Last Monday we were at a wet and a bit slippery Schiphol to welcome our new colleague Danie. This is because Danie will start next month as a Project Engineer Construction at one of our relations.

The process

Since August we have been in touch with Danie and we know that he would like to continue his career in the Netherlands. After a few good conversations with TailorMinds, an online introduction to our client followed.

Hitch?

The green light was given in mid-December and preparations could start. For a moment, there seemed to be a hitch in mid-January when the Dutch government announced it would cancel direct flights with South Africa. Fortunately, Danie turned out to be part of the group of exceptions. A house had already been found, so everything could still go ahead.

A bit of patience

After two negative COVID-19 tests in South Africa, the moment of arrival in The Netherlands was last Monday. We immediately drove to the rented house. We had already arranged the shopping for a quarantine period. Now begins a period of 10 days of which they would say in South Africa: “nog ‘n bietjie geduld”.

Thinking in terms of possibilities

At TailorMinds we have learned to think in terms of possibilities. Problems are challenges and disappointments are opportunities. Are you an Engineer from the pharmaceutical industry and interested in the possibilities at TailorMinds? Please contact us or respond to one of the jobs if it matches your knowledge and skills.
