Having recently announced the arrival of our new colleague Jeandré, he arrived in the Netherlands today together with his family. Jeandré will start in early 2023 in new position of Project Engineer Utilities and Buildings at one of our relations.
Regular contact
While waiting for the ongoing IND procedure, Jeandré was in South Africa actively preparing for his arrival in the Netherlands. This mainly involved finalising and handing over his work, saying goodbye and preparing for the flight. In the meantime, we kept in regular contact with him about the status of the IND procedure. This procedure went smoothly as the IND approval was quickly received. At the same time, we started looking for suitable housing in consultation with Jeandré.
Living space
During our visit to South Africa in November, Jeandré and his wife welcomed us hospitably to their home for a cosy ‘braai’. Our intention is to give them a hospitable welcome in the Netherlands as well and find them a home in which they will feel at home. In doing so, they themselves also indicated their preferences and the minimum requirements that a suitable home should meet. After discussing a number of possibilities, we found a suitable home within walking distance of his new workplace. Partly due to a quick response and action by the estate agent, Jeandré and his family were able to move into the house today.
Follow-up
In early 2023, Jeandré will start in his new position. We are also continuing the procedure regarding the other formalities. The arrangements for registration with the municipality. Applying for a bank account and collecting residence documents. Like previous formalities, they are all scheduled in the diary. We will also take care of the application for the 30% rule. From a sunny and warm South Africa, Jeandré and his family will take a new step in their lives in what by South African standards is a cold and wintry Netherlands. We wish them the best of luck and success!
