Safety at work

Last period, our colleague Sander obtained his emergency response certificate again. This in the context of better safe than sorry. At TailorMinds we not only provide a safe workplace for our colleagues in Zoetermeer, but also for our external colleagues.

The right tools and skills

Since emergency response training can help prevent accidents and addresses emergency preparedness in our office, it is primarily relevant to situations at our office.

This unlike our colleagues in the office, we do not see our external colleagues on a daily basis. This makes it less clear for us as a recruitment office to determine the extent to which safety is ensured at our clients’ offices. To contribute to this, we arrange safety courses and exams (VCA in Dutch). This is for awareness of safety and acting correctly in certain working conditions. In some cases, protective equipment such as safety shoes, goggles and helmet are also required. Combined with the given strict procedures and training at the manufacturers and laboratories, safety and quality is increased.

Work-related accidents

An accident is in a small corner, so too in the workplace. Especially in the technical industry, many standard procedures have been established to ensure safety and quality. If, due to circumstances, an accident does occur resulting in injury, we are insured for this. Traveling to work is also considered to be working time, so an accident on the road can also be accounted a work-related accident.

TailorMinds has taken out collective accident insurance with extensive coverage in case of permanent disability and death. Fortunately, we have not yet encountered such a situation and hope it will remain so. Still, it is nice to know that things are in order if necessary.
