Presentation training by Leermij

We regularly share job postings on LinkedIn through our job postings. However, how best to present, what is important and how to handle it were questions we did not have answers to yet. Last Friday we received personal feedback and a number of instructive tips during a training by Leermij.

Structure of the training

Our question to Leermij was primarily to better understand how we as a company can professionalize our videos. The interesting point about Leermij is that they not only focus on the technical points, but also the personal points through a self-mirror. In this case, the self-mirror was in the form of watching recordings back.

It quickly became apparent that every person has unconscious verbal and nonverbal communication that can lead to the unwanted: losing the attention of your target group. Examples include excessive hand gestures, monotone speaking, wobbling on your legs and exuding an energy that does not click with the content of the text.

We started with a presentation about ourselves, followed by memorizing complete presentation texts as well as possible by thinking in pictures and finally storytelling.

Learning points

During the training, Leermij was able to give us useful learning points in the area of presenting at a more professional level. Through direct and substantiated feedback we were able to work on them immediately. For each a different learning point with the starting point to improve together.

At the end of the day we summarized the development points such as natural stable presentation posture, calmness in speaking, energy use and energy building and finally setting up the recordings. Not unimportantly, the confrontation with yourself on camera can be tough, fortunately we also had fun together in a relaxed atmosphere. We would like to thank Leermij for the instructive day and their energetic approach.
