Welcome Clint

On October 1st, our new South African colleague Clint will start as Senior CQV Engineer at our client in the pharmaceutical industry. Last weekend he landed in The Netherlands with his family and the formalities are being arranged these days. Compared to a “normal” process, this process had some extra steps.

Immigration during corona

Once it was known that Clint could start with our client, The Netherlands was still in the intelligent lockdown. As a result, we were faced with a number of extra steps in the immigration process. Since Clint and his family are from New Zealand, this country of origin made things a little easier. This is because New Zealand is one of the countries outside the European Union, which has been designated as safe by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In other words, from this country there is currently no urgent advice for self-quarantine upon arrival.

Arrival in The Netherlands

After good preparation for the move to The Netherlands, the family arrived last weekend. TailorMinds picked them up at the airport and drove them to their new home. In recent days, a number of formalities have been arranged such as a bank account, furniture and collection of the obtained residence permit. In the coming period there will be a number of formalities that will follow by appointment.

Contract-to-hire

There is an agreement with our client for a contract-to-hire. This means that if Clint functions satisfactorily, he will switch after the agreed period. As a result, there is a good cooperation in which Clint receives support from TailorMinds in the first period and can work towards his future employer.
