Starting tomorrow, we have a new colleague in our office: Tiffany! She is the new reinforcement within TailorMinds as Recruitment Support Officer. Time to introduce her.
The effects of success
Tiffany has worked as an all-round hairdresser. After a few years of working she decided to follow a HR training. She is now in possession of the HR Officer certificate. The successful completion of this course and successful application at TailorMinds ensured that she became our new colleague. However, she is not done learning yet. After the summer, she will follow the Basic Training for Temporary Employment Professionals to further improve her skills in our profession.
Motivation
For example, Tiffany describes her motivation as follows: “I was ready for something new within my career and I thought this was the perfect time. I was sitting at home because the salons were closed and it seemed like the right time to start studying. That being said, I did my orientation and made a short list of study options. I also asked around within my circle of friends and family what they thought would suit me.
This quickly led to the confirmation that a job within HR/Recruitment suited my personality and wishes. This because I find dealing with people an important ingredient for job satisfaction. In March I started applying for jobs and came across the TailorMinds vacancy on Indeed.
The profile asked for more than I could offer. Nevertheless, I took the gamble to apply. That same day I was called if I had time that week to come in for a first interview. Then, after a week, I was invited for another interview and after filling in the behavioral analysis (PPA) I discussed it. Arjan and the team saw potential in me. At my request, I spent an afternoon at the office to experience how they work at TailorMinds. I liked it and so I accepted their offer to actually start at TailorMinds. I found the step quite exciting but so far I feel very comfortable.”
